Civil Engineering

Foresite Group has an exciting opportunity for a qualified CAD Drafter to join our dynamic Land Development – West Division in our Austin, TX office. We are seeking self-starting, energetic, and innovative candidates for this position. Interested candidates should be team players with a solid work ethic, looking to have fun and benefit from their work experience.

Education: Associates of Applied Technology or similar degree preferred, or equivalent technical experience

Qualifications: 1-5 years of experience in site civil engineering drafting/design.

Responsibilities:Responsible for converting concept site designs into working documents using AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Performs non-routine and complex assignments from verbal instructions and under minimal supervision. Works closely with Project Managers and Civil Engineers on a daily basis. Reviews CAD drawings to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards. Demonstrates ability to update and improve existing CAD standards. Reports to CAD Manager or Division Director.

Foresite Group has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Civil Engineering Senior Project Manager to join our Peachtree Corners, GA office. This person will work hand‐in‐hand with senior leadership to develop new business, contribute to company initiatives, and train in‐house staff.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering

Qualifications: (must be eligible to obtain Georgia PE license). Ideally has 10+ years of engineering experience within the civil engineering and design industry. Project management and a wide variety of experience such as parks, public spaces, and residential is preferred.

Responsibilities:Prepares plans and specifications for land development projects. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the industry. Manages, organizes, and oversees civil designs and details to produce a complete set of drawings. Researches and writes reports/opinions, including due diligence investigations and code studies. Utilizes various engineering related computer software including AutoCAD. Completes project accounting responsibilities. Manages existing client relationships while contributing to new client business development efforts.

Qualifications: EIT Certificate or PE license and 3-7 years of experience in civil site design

Responsibilities:Prepares plans and specifications for land development projects. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the industry. Manages, organizes, and oversees civil designs and details to produce a complete set of drawings. Researches and writes reports/opinions, including due diligence investigations and code studies. Utilizes various engineering related computer software including AutoCAD Civil 3D. Perform civil design calculations (i.e., grading, drainage, paving, geometric design, utility design, etc.), sketches, technical comparisons, and similar technical work using specialized skills, experience, and engineering judgment to transform concept designs into construction drawings and technical specifications as required by assignment. Research code issues and rezoning ordinances and work with city, state, and county officials. Conduct studies to identify engineering problems and assess potential project impact. Inspect project sites with Project Manager to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety standards. Coordinate project tasks and scheduling with Project Manager. Research design options and document findings for Project Manager. Assist the Project Manager or Project Engineer with feasibility studies, design, drafting, and permitting of engineering projects. Assist in examination of engineering documents for completeness or accuracy. Assist in review of drawings supplied by vendors, clients, engineers, and architects and recommend necessary changes.

Possesses ability to use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. This analyst will work under the supervision of a Division Director or Project Manager. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Masters in Structural Preferred

Qualifications: 3-5 years of engineering experience within the structural engineering and civil design industry.

Responsibilities: Prepares plans and specifications for land development projects within many different jurisdictions. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the structural engineering field including engineering formulas and skills. Organizes, designs, and details to produce a complete set of drawings. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the function of the job. Researches and writes reports/opinions, including due diligence investigations and code studies. Utilizes various engineering related computer software.

Transportation

Foresite Group is seeking a motivated and energetic Transportation Project Analyst to join our Transportation Engineering Division in our Peachtree Corners, GA office.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.

Qualifications: 2-5 years of experience within the civil engineering and design industry and EIT certificate. Successful candidates will have strong knowledge of traffic engineering concepts.

Responsibilities: Traffic engineering calculations; design or prepare plans for transportation systems; investigate traffic problems and recommend methods to improve traffic flow or safety; prepare administrative, technical or statistical reports on traffic-operations matters; research code issues and ordinances, working with city, state and county officials; perform site visits with Project Manager; assist with other duties as assigned by Project Manager.

Skills: Successful candidates will be able to interpret information from manuals such as MUTCD, AASHTO's GREEN Book and ITE Trip Generation, understand the fundamentals of signal timing, and be able to operate commonly used transportation design software, such as Synchro, Microstation, VISSIM, AutoCAD, and HCS.

Qualifications: This entry-level position requires 1-3years of customer service and/or receptionist experience. Valid Driver’s License required; Must be authorized to work in the United States; Experience with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required; Must have a positive, professional attitude

Responsibilities: Welcome, greet, and assist all visitors and clients; Answer phones and transfer calls to the appropriate associates companywide; Handle questions about the business; Maintain a pleasant appearance of the reception area and general office areas; Accept and sign for packages and distribute mail; Create FedEx shipments and arrange courier services; Order and inventory office supplies for various office locations; General office and project support; Some travel (errands) will be required.
