Civil Engineering

Foresite Group has an exciting opportunity for an experienced, self‐starting, energetic, and innovative Civil Engineering Project Manager to join our dynamic Land Development – West Division in our Austin, Texas office. This person will work hand‐in‐hand with senior leadership to develop new business, contribute to company initiatives, and train in‐house staff. This position will report to the Division Director or Practice Area Leader.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related degree)

Qualifications: Texas Professional Engineer (PE) licensure. Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience within the civil engineering and design industry. Proven relationships and experience in both the private and public market sector for Land Development.

Responsibilities: Prepares plans and specifications for land development projects. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the industry. Manages, organizes, and oversees civil designs and details to produce a complete set of drawings. Researches and writes reports/opinions, including due diligence investigations and code studies. Utilizes various engineering related computer software including AutoCAD. Writes proposals, responses to RFP's and RFQ's, and coordinates NTP of civil projects. Oversees and manages a team of technicians, analysts, and professionals for civil projects. Completes project accounting responsibilities. Oversees quality of the services delivered to our clients. Mentors, trains, and oversees entry level staff with technical and professional development. Manages existing client relationships while contributing to new client business development efforts.

Network Design

Foresite Group is seeking a motivated and energetic fiber network designer for our Network Design Division in one of our offices in Birmingham, Alabama; Norcross, Georgia; or Austin, Texas. Interested candidates should be team players with a solid work ethic, looking to have fun and benefit from their work experience.

Education: Associates of Applied Technology or similar degree preferred, or equivalent technical experience in OSP Engineering.

Qualifications: 2-5 years of experience in telecommunications and/or OSP drafting/design. GIS experience a plus.

Responsibilities: Responsible for creating fiber network designs and construction packages using AutoCAD, ARCGIS, and Civil 3D. Performs non-routine and complex assignments from verbal instructions and under minimal supervision. Works closely with Project Managers and Fiber Design Leads on a daily basis. Reviews CAD drawings to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards. Demonstrates ability to update and improve existing CAD standards. Reports to Project Manager.

This person will work hand‐in‐hand with senior leadership on large volume OSP engineering projects to develop production standards, work flows, manage client communication, manage deliverables and schedules, maintain quality of work, and develop in‐house staff. This position will report to the Network Design Division Director.

Education: Bachelor’s degree or work experience equivalent

Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Management for telecommunications design work.

Responsibilities: Manages, organizes, oversees designs and details to produce a complete set of fiber network drawings and GIS files. Prepares plans and specifications for fiber network engineering projects. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the industry. Researches and writes reports/opinions. Utilizes various engineering related computer software including AutoCAD, ARCGIS, FMS, etc. Oversees quality of the services provided to our clients. Mentors, trains, and oversees entry level staff with technical and professional development. Liaising with other designers, including architects, to provide safe designs and solutions. Manages existing clients' relationships while contributing to new client business development efforts.

This person will work with project managers to maintain production, project milestones, and deliverables for a high-volume telecommunication OSP engineering project in Cleveland, OH. This position will report to the Local Project Manager.

Education: Bachelor’s degree or work experience equivalent

Qualifications:Minimum of 3 years of experience in Telecommunications Industry

Responsibilities: Provide weekly status updates on cost, quality, earned value and other project metrics as required by client or internal program management team. Review potential change requests and evaluate cost impacts to both engineering and construction activities. Monitor and control project performance and any cost variances from baseline. Manage all formal documentation for risk, change, deliverable acceptance, reporting, etc. Work with design and project management team to maintain deliverables and develop work flows for upcoming projects.

Skills: Proficient with Document Control, Microsoft Office, and Project Management. Have Cursory knowledge GIS, AutoCAD and OSP engineering design processes.

Foresite Group has an exciting opportunity for an experienced, self‐starting, energetic, and innovative Project Engineer to join our dynamic Structural Division in our Peachtree Corners, Georgia office. This engineer will work under the supervision of a Division Director or Project Manager. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Masters in Structural Preferred

Qualifications: 5-8 years of engineering experience within the structural engineering and civil design industry.

Responsibilities: Prepares plans and specifications for land development projects within many different jurisdictions. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the structural engineering field including engineering formulas and skills. Organizes, designs, and details to produce a complete set of drawings. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the function of the job. Researches and writes reports/opinions, including due diligence investigations and code studies. Utilizes various engineering related computer software.

Skills: Knowledgeable in Autodesk applications, preferably Revit. Outstanding communication skills. High level of interpersonal skills and integrity. Works well within a team environment.
